Pangerkumzuk Longkumer (born 23 May 2001) is an Indian cybersecurity professional and entrepreneur from Kohima, Nagaland. He is the founder of NEXUSCIPHERGUARD INDIA (OPC) Private Limited, a cybersecurity firm based in Nagaland. In January 2025, he was selected as one of Nagaland's three youth representatives at the National Youth Festival's Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025 in New Delhi, where he participated in national-level discussions on technology and digital security.[1][2] In February 2026, his company acquired Bengaluru-based AI security firm AegisMind Technologies, an event reported by the Morung Express.[3]
Early life and education
[edit]Longkumer was born in Mokokchung, Nagaland, India. He later moved to Kohima for professional work. He completed undergraduate studies with a focus on arts while independently pursuing self-directed learning and research in cybersecurity and ethical hacking. His interest in the field was shaped in part by large-scale cyber incidents, including the WannaCry ransomware attack.[4] He holds the Certified Chief Executive Professional (CCEP) designation and has completed the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification programme.
Career

[edit]Prior to founding his cybersecurity firm, Longkumer worked in the gaming sector, including as a game localisation specialist with Moonton Games, the developer of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. He has also described being involved in social media management for gaming communities during this period. He has stated that encountering issues of online fraud and account security within large digital communities influenced his subsequent shift toward cybersecurity as a profession.[5]
NEXUSCIPHERGUARD INDIA
[edit]In September 2024, Longkumer founded NEXUSCIPHERGUARD INDIA (OPC) Private Limited, a cybersecurity company headquartered in Kohima, Nagaland. The firm offers services including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, security audits, incident response support, and cybersecurity awareness training.[6][7][8]
In June 2025, NEXUSCIPHERGUARD INDIA was among nine Nagaland-based startups to receive seed funding under the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS), facilitated through the YouthNet Incubation Centre in Dimapur. The funding disbursement was reported by the Eastern Mirror Nagaland.[9]
In August 2025, ICFAI University Nagaland signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NEXUSCIPHERGUARD INDIA focused on collaboration in cybersecurity education, training and research. The MoU was signed by the university's vice chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Saundarjya Borbora, and Longkumer at a ceremony held at the university's conference hall in the presence of faculty, students and company representatives. The agreement outlined collaboration areas including seminars, workshops, hackathons, internships and curriculum development. The event was reported by the Eastern Mirror Nagaland.[10]
In October 2025, Longkumer was interviewed by DD Nagaland, a channel of Doordarshan, for a feature on National Cyber Security Awareness Month, in which he discussed the state of cybersecurity literacy and digital safety challenges in Nagaland.[11]
Acquisition of AegisMind Technologies
[edit]In February 2026, NEXUSCIPHERGUARD INDIA acquired Bengaluru-based AI security firm AegisMind Technologies. Under the terms of the acquisition, AegisMind Technologies was to function as NEXUSCIPHERGUARD INDIA's dedicated research and development hub while retaining its independent operational structure, with a focus on long-term AI-led threat detection research and security automation. The acquisition was reported by the Morung Express.[12]
Advisory and educational roles
[edit]Longkumer serves on the board of advisors at MMB Cyber School, a non-profit organisation focused on digital literacy and cyber safety. Through NEXUSCIPHERGUARD INDIA, he has conducted cybersecurity workshops and awareness programmes for schools, colleges and institutions in Nagaland.[13]
Other ventures
[edit]Longkumer co-founded LongSong Rentals, a rental services platform, in 2023, and previously founded RG Store, an online retail platform active between 2021 and 2024. He has also published a book on cybersecurity through an Indian self-publishing platform.[14]
Public recognition
[edit]Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025
[edit]In January 2025, Longkumer was selected by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, as one of Nagaland's youth icons to participate in the National Youth Festival, Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025. He was among three Nagaland representatives at the event, which brought together young leaders from across India to discuss national development themes including technology, entrepreneurship, sustainability and public health. According to reporting by the Morung Express and Mokokchung Times, Longkumer participated in discussions on digital security and was invited to a lunch with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the programme.[15][16]
