SP Media Group (also known as SPMG) is an American film and television production and distribution company headquartered on the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood. Founded by veteran producer Steven Paul, the company serves as an umbrella for several entertainment entities, including Crystal Sky Pictures, Echo Bridge Home Entertainment, and the revived Atlas Comics.
History
[edit]SP Media Group was established as part of Steven Paul's SP7 entertainment group to consolidate his various production, distribution, and talent management assets. The company maintains a co-financing agreement with Paramount Pictures to co-produce feature films.
In recent years, the company has significantly expanded its domestic production infrastructure. In 2025, SP Media Group acquired **Avenue Six Studios**, a production facility in Van Nuys, California. Following the acquisition, the company launched a financing initiative to provide up to 100% of production costs for California-based projects to support the local film industry.
In partnership with Paramount, SP Media Group also holds a majority stake in the Atlas Comics library, aiming to develop the classic comic book characters into new film and television franchises.
