Wrive (stylized in all caps; formerly known as Dream Chasers from Dream Maker) is a Filipino P-pop boy group formed and managed by ABS-CBN Star Magic and signed under the music label Star Music. The group consists of five members: Asi, Drei, Mathew, Russu, and Ishiro, who gained public recognition as contestants on ABS-CBN’s idol survival show Dream Maker in 2022.

Name and Group Formation [1]

[edit]

Following their appearance on Dream Maker, the five members underwent approximately two years of training under Star Magic's Polaris. The group’s name, WRIVE (pronounced “rayv”), is derived from the phrase “we have arrived,” reflecting their transition from trainees to idols. The group officially debuted on July 17, 2025.

Group members

[edit]
  • Drei Amahan, serves as the group’s performance leader. Prior to his debut, he won Hip Hop Dance International Philippines (2019) and Dance Supremacy (2022). He also joined World of Dance Philippines and Your Moment in ABS-CBN. He previously worked as a backup dancer for fellow Star Magic artists BINI and 7BGYO and is also active as a dance instructor.
  • Mathew Cruz is the group’s main visual. He made his first television appearance in the 2021 drama series Viral Scandal, starring Charlie Dizon, and later appeared in multiple episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya as an on-camera talent. He also auditioned for Star Magic’s “Zoomers” alongside former PBB Collab housemate Ralph De Leon. In 2024, he was crowned “Royal Prince” alongside Anji Salvacion as “Royal Princess” at the Star Magic Prom.
  • Russu Laurente is the group’s main rapper. He is a former Pinoy Big Brother housemate from General Santos City and is also an amateur boxer. Laurente is the brother of Criztian Pitt Laurente, who is a Filipino prospect and professional boxer from General Santos City. Russu also made a television appearance in the 2022 superhero series Darna.
  • Ishiro Incapas is one of the group's main vocalists. He gained popularity as a crowd favorite during ABS-CBN’s idol survival show Dream Maker and is also active as a songwriter.
