History

[edit]

EliseAI was established in 2017 by Minna Song and Tony Stoyanov in New York. Initially, the company focused on the property management sector, creating AI agents to automate customer communications and improve operational processes.[6][7][8] In 2023, EliseAI expanded its services to include the healthcare industry, modifying its technology to address the needs of healthcare providers and patients. This expansion represented a shift in the company's strategic focus to encompass a wider range of customer service challenges across various sectors.[9][10]

CEO Minna Song has described the company's mission as utilizing AI in industries that address fundamental human needs, particularly in housing and healthcare.[11]

In August 2024, EliseAi completed a Series S funding round, raising $75 million.[12] The round was led by Sapphire Ventures and included participation from existing investors such as Navits Capital, Point72 Private Investment, Divco West, and Koch Real Estate Investments. This funding round is said to have valued the company at $1 billion.[13][14] In August 2025, EliseAI raised $250 million in a Series E funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners and existing investors, including Sapphire Ventures.[15][16] This funding round valued the company at over $2.2 billion.[17][18][19]

Services and products

[edit]

In the housing sector, EliseAi develops AI agents that assist with leasing and resident operations, managing tasks such as tour scheduling, maintenance requests, lease renewals, billing, and delinquency workflows.[20] The company charges fees based on the number of buildings, portfolio size, and selected products, which include offering like "Leasing AI" and "Resident AI".[21][22][23]

Additionally, EliseAI provides a dashboard for property managers to monitor requests, reporting, and lease renewals, which is included with its AI products. In the healthcare sector, EliseAI provides AI agents that automate non-clinical tasks, which includes scheduling, patient intake, billing, prescription follow-up, and phone communications.[24] The company primarily services outpatient specialties, such as dermatology and women's health, and its solutions are designed to integrate with electronic health records.[25]
