Euryglossa adelaidae is a species of bee in the family Colletidae and the subfamily Euryglossinae. It is endemic to Australia. It was described in 1905 by British-American entomologist Theodore Dru Alison Cockerell.[1][2] It was extensively synonymised in 1976 by Australian entomologist Elizabeth Exley.[3]

Distribution and habitat

The species occurs in eastern Australia. The original type locality is Adelaide in South Australia.[2][1]

Behaviour

The adults are flying mellivores. Flowering plants visited by the bees include Angophora, Callistemon, Eucalyptus, Leptospermum, Melaleuca and Tristania species.[2]
