FCE-24379 is a potent serotonin receptor antagonist related to the ergolines.^[1] It antagonizes vascular serotonin receptors, which may correspond to the serotonin 5-HT_2A receptor.^[1] The drug is inactive against adrenergic receptors including the α₁-, α₂-, β₁-, and β₂-adrenergic receptors.^[1] It produces hypotension in rodents.^[1] FCE-24379 was first described in the scientific literature by 1988.^[1]
