Josh Cuevas (born September 15, 2003)[1] is an American college football tight end for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He previously played for the Cal Poly Mustangs and for the Washington Huskies.
Early life and high school
[edit]Cuevas attended Campbell Hall School in Los Angeles, California. Coming out of high school, he committed to play college football for the Cal Poly Mustangs.[2]
College career

[edit]As a freshman in 2021, Cuevas caught four passes for 56 yards in three games, using the season to redshirt.[3] During the 2022 season, Cuevas recorded 58 receptions for 678 yards and six touchdowns.[4] After the season, he entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[5]
Washington
[edit]Cuevas transferred to play for the Washington Huskies.[6] In 2023, he caught four passes for 164 yards and a touchdown.[7] After the 2023 season, Cuevas once again entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[7]
Alabama
[edit]Cuevas transferred to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide.[8] During his first season with the Crimson Tide in 2024, he caught 16 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown.[9] In the 2025 season opener, Cuevas recorded three receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Florida State.[10]
