Lahithah (Arabic: لاهثة) is a village situated in the Shahba District of Suwayda Governorate, in southern Syria. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Lahithah had a population of 2,225 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantly Druze.[2]
History
[edit]In 1838, it was noted as a ruin, el-Metuny, situated "in the Luhf, east of the Lejah, i.e. in Wady el-Liwa".[3]
During the Bedouin–Druze clashes in 2025, Lahithah remained under the Syrian transitional government and its Bedouin allies.[4]
