Sam Roush is an American college football tight end for the Stanford Cardinal.
Early life
[edit]Roush attended Valley Christian School in San Jose, California before transferring to Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.[1][2] He also played defense in high school and was the 2021 Tennessee Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Roush committed to the University of Iowa to play college football.[3]
College career
[edit]Roush played at Stanford from 2022 to 2025. He became a starter during his sophomore year in 2023.[4] For his career he had 119 receptions for 1,201 yards and four touchdowns.
Personal life
[edit]His uncles, Merlin Olsen and Orrin Olsen, and grandfather Phil Olsen all played in the NFL.[5]
