[edit]

The inaugural Hong Kong House exhibition was successfully held during the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, opening with Tsunan Lost and Found Museum by Hong Kong artists Leung Chi Wo + Sara Wong. The project aimed to reaffirm and establish the value of forgotten people and events through the power of art.

Tsunan Lost and Found Museum

[edit]

Working within the Tsunan community, the artists conducted interviews with residents and organized workshops to collect and select over 50 old photographs, primarily from the 1960s and 1970s. Through research, written descriptions, role reenactment, and staged photography, the artists attempted to enter historical moments and recover the identities of individuals from that era, giving historical value and meaning to these "lost" people.

Venue: Hong Kong House

Address: 29-4 Kamigoumiya-no-hara, Tsunan-machi, Nakauonuma-gun, Niigata Prefecture, Japan
