Spill kits are typically single-use kits containing chemicals used for absorption of (hazardous) wastes. Ready-for-use kits typically contain personal protective equipment, decontamination or neutralizing agents, disposal containers, and signage markers. Sometimes, spill containment material will also be included.
Spill kits come in various options and sizes, from small portable kits for minor spills to large kits designed for industrial use. Consider the volume and type liquids typically handled on-site when selecting your spill kit.
- General Purpose
Ideal for water based, non aggressive liquids. Paints Solvents, oil and fuel. (Hydrocarbons)
- Oil and Fuel
Ideal for oil and fuel only. (Hydrocarbons) (Hydrophobic will not absorb water based liquids)
- Chemical Or Hazchem
Ideal for most liquids including water based, aggressive liquids such as alkalis, oxidising, acid. Paints Solvents, oil and fuel. [1]
