I'll take this review. The usual boilerplate: please respond to comments with {{done}}, {{not done}}, etc. Note that I may make some suggestions that are beyond the GA criteria – my aim is to make the article as good as possible – but I will only pass/fail based on the criteria. - @Splains: Overall this looks pretty good. A few copyedits to make; once you're done with those, I can finish the spot check. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 00:19, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Splains: Great work, passing now. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 03:58, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
Infobox and lead
[edit]- The lead is a bit on the long side for a short article. I would replace the paragraph beginning
In September 2007...
with a single sentence reading something likeMF was assigned as the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for Saint Martin in 2007, but it remains inactive within the Domain Name System (DNS) root zone and has never been delegated to a registry operator.
(And then remove the newlines so the lead is a single three-sentence paragraph.)
Done
- Merge the two consecutive links to Collectivity of Saint Martin into a single link
Done
History
[edit]- With the lead condensed, add links and abbreviations in this section as needed.
Done
- Link or define "root zone repository"
Done
- I would link to ISO 3166-2:MF directly in this section, rather than having it under "see also"
Done
Status
[edit]- The sentence beginning
The French network registry...
is confusing. What does is mean to extend the eligibility rules?
Done Explained
See also
[edit]- I don't see a need for this section. The first item should be in the prose, the second is not relevant here, and the remaining three are only tangentially related.

References
[edit]Ref numbers refer to this revision.
- Refs 1, 8, and 9 need their titles adjusted to match those actually used by the web pages
Done Also removed ref 9 as it is redundant to ref 7
- Ref 7 should have the archive url moved to the |archive-url parameter, with the original url in the |url parameter.
- Comment: I am using the {{Cite World Factbook}} template which automatically uses the archive-url parameter
- Refs 7 and 9 have dates listed in the source that should be added here.

Spot check

- Pi.1415926535, I've finished all the copyedits. For this sentence: "The lack of delegation is governed by French national policy regarding overseas territories. The French network registry AFNIC manages registrations under .fr and extends the eligibility rules covering entities residing in the European Union and also French COMs, including Saint Martin." the World Factbook is just a helpful supporting source. The AFNIC link states that the domain was created in 2007 but not delegated, "created in 2007 but not delegated." which confirms that the French national policy has kept their specific internet domains inactive since their creation. — splains (💬/📝) 12:47, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
