Schleswig war

[edit]

It states in the introduction article that Denmark lost vast territories to Germany in 1848 . Simply not true . Cant really correct it without changing the whole section though Thetrogg (talk) 00:11, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. The territorial loss was in Second Schleswig war 1863-1864. A major reason was British pro-German attitude further to Danish inflexibility and lack of reality sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.251.36.8 (talk) 10:58, 18 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

there was no united Germany in 1864 though Thetrogg (talk) 14:05, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Look at these sentences

[edit]

Metropolitan Denmark, also called "continental Denmark" or "Denmark proper", consists of the northern Jutland peninsula and an archipelago of 406 islands. It is the southernmost of the Scandinavian countries, lying southwest of Sweden, south of Norway, and north of Germany, with which it shares a short border. Denmark proper is situated between the North Sea to the west and the Baltic Sea to the east.

The introductory phrase can allow people to conclude that later the same paragraph will talk about other parts of Denmark. Georgia guy (talk) 16:10, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if Bornholm is one of the 406. — Preceding unsigned comment added by F5mms476 (talkcontribs) 12:48, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Since 2022 Denmark also shares a small 1.2 km land border with Canada, along a natural ravine on Hans Island in the Nares Strait. Kim Depler (talk) 12:52, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. This article is about metropolitan Denmark only. The border with Canada is mentioned at Danish Realm. Day Creature (talk) 17:53, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
