Significant cuts to unsourced and unencyclopedic content

Hey page watchers, I've just culled a large amount of unencyclopedic and unsourced (in some cases, *falsely* sourced with citations that didn't support the related content) text from this article per the maintenance tags.

I don't feel I sufficiently improved it to remove the tags, but I didn't want to cut even more. Clearly the subject is notable, and as I get more comfortable with reliable sourcing, I will try to replace some of these dead links. I encourage other eyes on this article in the meantime, almost every link is dead and some of the standing citations definitely don't seem to support specific statements they've been placed after.
