Conflating NFD with Somalis
[edit]Under Somalis of Kenya referendum, 1962, the article conflates Somalis, NFD residence, and pro-secession opinion. The referenced article covers the existence of anti-secession Somali parties and the presence of significant non-Somali minorities. The referendum covered NFD not Somalis specifically.
I have included a suggested edit of the section below to address my concerns:
Somalis of Kenya referendum, 1962
[edit]Before Kenyan independence, a popular secessionist movement led by Somali ethnic people in the areas of Northern Frontier Districts petitioned Her Majesty's Government not to be included in Kenya. The colonial government decided to hold Kenya's first referendum in 1962 to determine whether residents of the Northern Frontier Districts preferred to join Somalia or remain part of Kenya.[1]
The result of the referendum showed that 86% of the population in the Northern Frontier Districts wanted to join Somalia, yet the British colonial administration rejected the result and the Northern Frontier Districts remained part of Kenya.[2][3]

Request to add new subsection under Kenya#Culture:
Media
[edit]Kenya has numerous TV and radio stations, with major media houses including Nation Media Group, which operate various brands like Citizen TV. Prominent stations include NTV, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation, and Kenya Television Network for television, and Radio Citizen, Radio Maisha, Kiss FM, and Radio Jambo for radio, with the latter being some of the most listened-to. Major Kenyan newspapers include the Daily Nation, The Standard, and The EastAfrican. Other popular media outlets, which may also produce newspapers or have strong online news presences, are Citizen Digital and Tuko.co.ke. [1]

Kenya has the 15th highest extreme poverty rate in the world at 46%
[edit]The Economy section statement on poverty is incorrect:
"Based on the most recent data from 2022, 25.4% of the population is affected by multidimensional poverty and an additional 26.4% vulnerable to it."
The actual poverty rate in Kenya is 46%.
