Edits and Expansion Summary

[edit]

Hi everyone,

I recently expanded the Notability (application) article as part of an academic Wikipedia project focused on improving coverage of digital tools and software. My goal was to make the page more comprehensive, neutral, and well sourced.

Here is a brief summary of what I added and why:

History section: I added information about the app’s release date, developer background, and major updates such as the 2021 transition to a freemium model and the 2023 redesign. These details were supported by PR Newswire and reliable media coverage.

Features section: I expanded the descriptions of core features including handwriting recognition, audio synchronization, Apple Pencil support, and cloud syncing. These additions were based on sources like TechRadar, Paperlike, and the official Notability blog.

Reception section: I summarized feedback from publications such as TechRadar and Paperlike to provide balanced commentary on usability, design, and the app’s role in digital note taking.

Citations and formatting: I updated the reference list for consistency and verified that all information follows Wikipedia’s Neutral Point of View policy. I also added internal links to improve navigation.

Feedback and suggestions for improvement are welcome. I aimed to ensure the article reflects both the significance of the app and the coverage provided by independent, reliable sources.
