Some pictures need to go

[edit]

Some pictures are a bit old and dont show the proper modern example of their respective group, for example the LG G4 picture used for the ultra phone section, is about 10 years old and considering LG stopped their phone line a few years ago, it's very outdated. Modern era is since mid-1400s, so all computers (apart from ancient special-purpose such as antikythera mechanism) are modern; maybe what you mean is 'recent'/'current', but I don't consider it important for this article to have photographs of the latest phone PCs, as only a small percentage of people get the latest ones. If recent ones don't look that different, an old photograph suffices, but feel free to upload something more current.--dchmelik☀️🦉🐝🐍(talk|contrib) 13:34, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No objection to updates but I'm not sure a picture of a smartphone is the right choice for a section about pocket PCs. Though they offer a superset of pocket PC functionality, I'm not sure most people think of a smartphone as a type of personal computer. ~Kvng (talk) 15:58, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

watch PCs

[edit]

Watch PCs (inaccurate/marketing term 'smartwatch') should be listed in this... even some of the first (in that article) came with external keyboards, which of course could still be used with most/all current ones if you had access to programs or account (administrator/root) that could use a keyboard (or for repair/setup/installation).--dchmelik☀️🦉🐝🐍(talk|contrib) 03:42, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That was WP:VANDALISM. It's already been cleaned up. See Special:History/Personal computer. — Chrisahn (talk) 06:20, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Development

[edit]

This article would be enhanced by the addition of more description about the development of personal computer hardware and software throughout the decades. Adding some of the most important milestones in PC creation and how they impacted society would be worthwhile as background information. Defining technical language and adding citations to a credible source would enhance the credibility and reader comprehension of this article. Dchu43 (talk) 03:56, 1 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
