Half diminished vs diminished chords

[edit]

This citation is made in the article: Lambert locates this technique in Wilson's use of diminished seventh chords, "almost always [appearing] at a dramatic moment", such as in "Don't Talk" (on the word "eyes" in "I can see so much in your eyes") and "God Only Knows" (on the words "sure about it" and "livin' do me").

In both cases this is the incorrect chord callout. The chord on the word "yes" in "Don't Talk" and the chord on the words "sure about it" in "God Only Knows" are both half-diminished chords. Wes Lachot (talk) 22:11, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
