- Weak support, although if this merge happens the stuff about non-religious pilgrims would have to go from the main pilgrim article. – GnocchiFan (talk) 16:10, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
- Support merge on the grounds of overlap and context; the topics are so closely related that they are best discussed in one place. This is common practice, with pages like Carpenter redirecting to Carpentry. Klbrain (talk) 13:59, 15 July 2024 (UTC)

- Thanks, clearly overdue. One issue I glancingly note this creates, is just how many images are packed into this article. So I'm going to pull out some to reduce the WP:STACKING and WP:SANDWICHING.-- Patrick Neil, oѺ∞/Talk 13:55, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
It's obviously tricky to put together given the many traditions swirled around in China but the area definitely needs its own subsection of the article covering its own Buddhist traditions as well as native practices like the imperial pilgrimages to Mount Tai & other locations, major Taoist attractions, and the (mostly) secular Confucian, republican, and Communist pilgrim sites ("Red Tourism"). — LlywelynII 03:19, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
