Pink vs. Magenta: Shades or Colors
[edit]So... Hello fellow Wikipedians! You might or might not have known about my edit which was basically changing from "color" to "shade [of red]". My edit was quickly reverted and I went to the Teahouse where they told me to go get a source, which I did! My arguments are: 1. Magenta is a secondary color according to the RGB/CYMK color scheme/wheel and Pink is a tertiary color, which the tertiary colors contain: Colors (Orange, Purple, Pink) and Shades (Chartreuse Green, Spring Green). 2. The F****NG fact that Pink is a shade is literally in the article description, quote "Pale tint [aka shade] of Red". If that doesn't prove it, I don't know what it is! Goodbye fellow Wikipedians!
P.S.: Not related to the Pink/Magenta soon-to-be argument, but we shouldn't have a Austro-Hungarian flag. Like, ever again. 2001:8A0:DF58:401:AD25:4D6B:E599:6BF8 (talk) 14:44, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

Editing Plan for this Article
[edit]Howdy! I am a student at Texas A&M University and have been assigned this article for a Technical and Professional Editing class. In this class, we have been taught how to copy-edit and conduct comprehensive edits of professional documents. I will be making some edits to this article. Before moving forward, I would like to describe the types of edits I plan on making:
- Any necessary copyediting - grammar, style, tone, etc.
- Checking for information relevancy.
- Restructure - There are a few bodies of text that I believe can be moved to different areas.
- Adding a bit more information to some sections - example: Etymology and Definitions.
- Double-checking citations and adding/deleting as needed.
- Making sure the entire article follows Wikipedia's rules of neutral point of view. WP: NPOV
If there is anything that I should know or keep an eye out for before completing my edits, don't hesitate to let me know.

- Good luck with that! Personally, I think the whole article is clunky and out of control, with far too many images and irrelevancies. It's one of the more incoherent and unfocussed articles I have encountered. In my humble, it really needs somebody to be really brave, and rewrite it from scratch. But not a job for me!
