Something Not Mentioned
[edit]As a therian I thought we'd be called that, not "quadrobists" because not all quadrobists are therian and not all therians do quadrobics. - Indigo 71.40.80.26 (talk) 19:32, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- This article needs an expert and I am not one of those, sorry.
The story goes like this:
1. I originally created this article at "Quadrobers" cause that's what they are called in Russia. I'd also been thinking about creating a page about therians as a different subculture, but never got to it.
2. Then I took some time off Wikipedia only to find this article deleted. (See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Quadrobers.) Happily, an administrator was so kind to undelete it for me. (See User talk:Explicit#Quadrobers.) Now, I don't want this to be deleted when I'm not looking, so I've renamed it to a broader term.
What should I do now? I honestly don't know. I think this article should be expanded to demonstrate the importance and notability (WP:N) of quadrobics. Cause that's what the article is called now. And, surely, you are welcome to restructure it and to mention therians as well, but please be careful and provide reliable sources (WP:RS) for your additions. Cause if this article doesn't look neat and carefully sourced, it can be deleted again. (The topic seems to be controversial enough to attract haters or deletionists.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 20:40, 28 February 2025 (UTC) - You should also take a look at "Otherkin § Terms and identities" cause that is where therians are mentioned on Wikipedia currently. (Some may say that is enough and a separate article about therians is not needed. I don't know. I think the more articles the better.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 20:50, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
- I've added a short paragraph about therians. [As for my choice of words, I used the same terms as the source I had found. Sorry if it is not "scientifically correct". You are welcome (and even encouraged :-)) to offer suggestions and to even edit this article yourself (but carefully!).] --Moscow Connection (talk) 11:42, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
By the way, there has already been an attempt to speedy-delete this article ([1]). It is the same person as before, but still kinda worrying... --Moscow Connection (talk) 11:42, 3 March 2025 (UTC) - The views are not even close to those of the original "Quadrobers" article. (As I've said, I renamed the original article to "Quadrobics" as a wider term.) But I'm even afraid to link other articles to here... I am scared that "those people" may come again... But I personally think that this article is okay now. It is reasonably developed and can be developed further. It is just that I need to think about other articles I want to expand/create... So that's all I can do here for today... --Moscow Connection (talk) 12:03, 3 March 2025 (UTC)

Otherpaw x quadrobics
[edit]Sorry for the recent changes in the article, I'm new on Wikipedia and while looking for alterhuman informations outside of blogs and alternative wikis I managed to find only the quadrobics page. I know the page is mainly based in the russian information, but most of sites and material have some misinformation. Most of the real info is located in blogs and alternative wikis, sources said as non trustworthy in Wikipedia.
The Subculture side of quadrobics is certainly apart from any sort of "identity". The quadrobics as a subculture is mostly related to the fact that big part of the alterhuman community (therians, otherkins and other identities) practice quadrobics, frequently being related as "a therian stuff", but quadrobics is merely the activity, not requiring gear (masks, tails, etc).
The reason of my attempts in changing some parts of the article is based in the otherpaw community, where idividuals roleplay as animals with activities such as quadrobics and gear, so it must be confusing duo the fact that in the article mention the use of gear with such importance.
Gear is not required for quadrobics, but the reason for linking both is duo the presence of individuals who do both.
Focusing in the activity and reinforce that gear is not a requirement, but just popular among practitioners would be important, mainly with Wikipedia being such a reliable resource for research.
Also, not necessarily erase the things said in the russian article, but at last mention as their words, and not the reality of the subculture aspect.
I apologize in advance for my past changes to the article, and just ask that you consider the points raised.
Respectfully, Starry pup (talk) 11:18, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
