Split Applications

Into Applications of radio (or Radio applications), with redirects Applications of radio technology (and Radio technology applications). It'd avoid the content duplication across Radio#Applications, Radio frequency#Applications, Radio spectrum#Applications, Radio receiver#Applications. fgnievinski (talk) 16:50, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Support The application section in Radio is very long: split makes sense for that reason alone. Radio receiver#Applications could be a subsection. Radio spectrum#Applications does and should have some distinguishing applications by band. How would this work in a split/merge article?

I think that Radio frequency#Applications should be specific to whatever it is that the article Radio frequency purports to be about. I think "RF" is really a shorthand for "Radio frequency electrical current" and not related directly to the rest of "Radio" It's not even clear to me that "Radio frequency" is a proper article. Done splitting to Applications of radio. The article needs a good lead and substantial organization. Radio#Applications, Radio frequency#Applications, Radio spectrum#Applications, Radio receiver#Applications all now need fixing. The redirects requested were done as well.
