Article content and focus

@NewishIdeas: This person only appears to be notable for hijacking Frontier Airlines Flight 91, which is documented elsewhere on Wikipedia in the article about Frontier Airlines (1950–1986). Information and sources for that article appears to be inconsistent with this one. Also, according to WP:CRIME, a person who is known only in connection with a criminal event or trial should not normally be the subject of a separate Wikipedia article if there is an existing article that could incorporate the available encyclopedic material relating to that person. While Wikipedia has an article about the airline, it doesn't have one about the Hijacking of Frontier Airlines Flight 91, which would seem a more notable event, and offer more scope for coverage than a incomplete biography about the perpetrator. An article under the title of a person's name should, substantially, be a full and balanced biography of that person's public life, but an article about the crime that they were involved in is not so restricted. May I suggest changing the focus of this article to being more about the hijacking, which seems to have many more sources than a full and balanced biography would need. Simply having dates of birth and death are not really enough for a biography, it needs information like where was he born, who were his parents, where was he educated, how long had he been in the United States before the hijacking and what did he do before and after it to make him notable. If all that you can come up with is information about the hijacking, then you should probably focus on that and rename the article. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 20:40, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
