Wikipedia is not censored – not even to protect young readers from learning the truth about Santa during the Christmas season. Information contained within this article may be objectionable to some parents. Wikipedia's goal is to have a complete and accurate description of Santa Claus, which is incompatible with stating that Santa is "real".

This tradition was confirmed in two important scientific investigations of the relics in Bari and Venice, which revealed that the relics in the two Italian cities belong to the same skeleton. ~2025-32316-49 (talk) 12:45, 9 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Santa Claus#Representation to children talks about parents lying to their children. I imagine that's both accurate and upsetting to parents who had never thought of their actions in that way before.
The internet tells me that a parent wrote this:
"Me before kids: I'll never lie to my kids."
"Me after kids: I just got off the phone with Gabby from Gabby's Dollhouse and Marshall from Paw Patrol and they both said if you don't get you shoes on and coat on then they'll tell Santa not to stop by."
Sometimes quotations are phrased in a more biased way. Also, if there are a lot of experts who say something, it's not necessarily good to quote just one of them, because that can make it seem like they're the only person in the world who holds that view.
