Quality of the article is very sub-par

[edit]

Starting with the plain wrong non-ethnic definition as outlined before and proceeding with biased, outdated data, this article sounds almost like it was censored by a xenophobe. For example, the data cited is over a decade old and the map is blatantly wrong as of 2025 - most Central European countries north of the Alps and also the British Isles have >10% Slavic population due to internal EU migration. I'm flagging the article as requiring major revision. --Anonymous, 11:50, 14 August 2025 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:4BB8:190:A209:7163:C529:BA1C (talkcontribs)

Ethnic group

[edit]

I am sure this has already been discussed countless times, but "ethnic group" was restored in the opening and I think referring to all groups that speak the Slavic languages as a singular ethnic group is misleading. Compare for example with this ("Slav, member of the most numerous ethnic and linguistic body of peoples in Europe, residing chiefly in eastern and southeastern Europe..."). If no one has any objections, this article's November 3 version should be restored, before an anon made radical changes. Any relevant content can be retained. StephenMacky1 (talk) 13:54, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That works. Mellk (talk) 13:55, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I restored a good version from 8 November, because another editor reverted the changes by the anon. StephenMacky1 (talk) 13:56, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
