"appeared to some to be"

the phrase "appeared to some as a nazi salute" seems uneccesarily ambiguous. It implies that only a small subgroup of people see it that way when it was widely seen as and reported as such, especially in the context of it being right after Elon Musk's similar actions. Neutrality is important but no need to attempt to be so neutral we downplay something that blatant. "appeared to be a nazi salute" or even "appeared to many to be a nazi salute" would be more appropriate. Aradiades (talk) 01:58, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

As shown in the yellow box at the top of the WP:WEASEL guideline section, "many" is also considered a weasel word. More sourced specifics are needed. It turns out Mr. Bannon also had a close relationship with the infamous Epstein. He directly consulted him in emails and entertained the idea of bringing down Pope Francis!
