The book is about a man who illegally creates a robotic companion with artificial intelligence.

I wonder what the author would say about this summary. It's a long time since I read it, but isn't it mostly about the robot? Seems to me the man disappears from the plot well before the halfway point. —Tamfang (talk) 18:40, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
