I write mainly on British botany and ecology, generally trying to make interesting and full articles about the subject rather than just snippets of information. Try Mercurialis annua or Smyrnium olusatrum for examples. I often involve students in writing and editing. It is not easy to find good articles on plants because botanists often prefer lists to stories, but you can turn a database into prose if you try.
