Hello! My name is Stella Biderman. I'm a mathematician, philosopher, and machine learning researcher. I am the Executive Director of EleutherAI. My research focuses on large language models and interpretable machine learning, and I contributed to the training of several notable open source LLMs including GPT-Neo, GPT-NeoX-20B, Pythia, and BLOOM.

In my free time I greatly enjoy playing games, such as Magic: The Gathering, Azul, and Dungeons & Dragons. I am well known for building a Turing machine in MTG.
