Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It started today on Monday June 16 and will run until Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible!♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:14, 16 June 2025 (UTC)

Wrong tagging
[edit]Hi @Acrom12,
I was happy that you categorised the article This Motherless Land but returning from class now, I saw that you further tagged it for notability and sourcing issues. Really? Haven't you read about WP:NBOOK, which the book met since it was a nominee perhaps shortlist title for the Nigeria Prize for Literature, the most prestigious literary award in the country, as well as the many reviews from notable sources which meet WP:RS, hence my assumption of wrong tagging. What other sources was you expecting when you said "needs more sources for verification" when all the sentences/paragraphs has a citation? I would have simply reverted you but because I don't want you to maybe continue making that error I'm other article, hence my message herein. WP:TAGGING may be of paramount interest to you. Cheers! Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 17:07, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @SafariScribe,
- Thanks for your message! I appreciate your explanation and your work on This Motherless Land. When I tagged the article, it appeared to have only one or two independent sources and one publisher listing, which did not yet meet WP:NBOOK at that stage.
- I see you’ve since added multiple independent reviews and references from reliable outlets that certainly strengthens the article’s notability. I’ll take another look and, if those reviews provide significant coverage, I’m happy to remove the notability and sourcing tags.
- Thanks again for improving the article and for the helpful feedback — much appreciated Acrom12 (talk) 17:32, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hey @SafariScribe, just wanted to clarify, when I first came across This Motherless Land, it only had the two sources (Narrative Landscape Press and Kirkus Reviews). I didn’t realize you had expanded it and added more references before I tagged it. My bad on that... sorry about the mix-up! I appreciate the improvements you made and the extra sourcing. The article’s looking much stronger now. Acrom12 (talk) 17:45, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for your banner. Wondered if you'd take a look at the article now. thanks Shelter3 (talk) 11:43, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Shelter3! I took another look. The article has improved, but some statements still need citations, and a few sentences could be more neutral. Because it’s a BLP, we need solid sources for everything. Let me know when you update it again and I’ll check it. Acrom12 (talk) 12:09, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- I tagged the article because some claims were not supported by the sources, and a few sentences sounded more like a feature article than an encyclopedic entry. For a BLP, every major statement needs a clear citation, and the tone has to stay neutral. When those are fixed, the tags can be taken down. Acrom12 (talk) 12:13, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hmm, not sure what you mean: I fixed the link to CNN as it was behind a paywall, maybe that will help?--Shelter3 (talk) 12:57, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Fixing the CNN link is good, but the issue isn’t the link... it’s that some of the claims in the article are still not backed by any source at all.
- A few examples:
- Parts of the Background and education section don’t have citations.
- Some sentences in Career still sound a bit promotional or “story-like,” which is why the tone tag is still there.
- A couple of statements about his influence and recognition need sources to confirm them.
- The article is improving, but those unsourced lines still need proper references. Once everything is cited and the tone is a bit more neutral, the tags can be removed. Acrom12 (talk) 13:09, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hmm, not sure what you mean: I fixed the link to CNN as it was behind a paywall, maybe that will help?--Shelter3 (talk) 12:57, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- They're all in the articles I cited. I didn't make any of this up. I don't like overciting especially from the same source one after another but i'll see what I can do. thanks--Shelter3 (talk) 19:50, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Shelter3, I understand, and I did read all the sources you added. The issue isn’t that the information is made up... it’s that some statements in the article aren’t actually supported by what the sources say. Because it’s a BLP, every claim needs to match the source directly. A few lines in the article go beyond what the references confirm, and that’s why the tags are still there. For example, the article says he “sees himself as a cultural ambassador to China,” but none of the sources actually phrase it that way. Acrom12 (talk) 23:08, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

DISPLAYTITLE for your user page
[edit]I noticed your attempt at styling your user page title. This didn't work for two reasons:
- page titles are case-sensitive, so you cannot just uppercase letters, see WP:DISPLAYTITLE for details
display:inline-blockis not allowed instyle=attributes
Luckily, workarounds for both exist. Use text-transform:uppercase to capitalize "crom". And you can use inline-block if you put it into your common.css. Happy editing! Paradoctor (talk) 03:04, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, @Paradoctor! I'm still trying to get the hang of the styling rules here, so I was super confused why it wouldn't save. Thanks for taking the time to explain the fix. ACROM12 [TALK] 03:09, 16 December 2025 (UTC)

FF(X) design section
[edit]Hi Acrom12. I wanted to ask about your edit on the newly created FF(X) page. Was there a reason for the removal of the Design section? I had included a source (the USN press release about the FF(X) program more broadly), so I wanted to know if it was due to the very recent announcement of the project or something else. Thank you in advance.

- Hi @RangerRangefinder, So sorry about that... looks like we had an edit conflict. I was just fixing the typo in the CNO's name (Cuddle -> Caudle) and cleaning up the date formats, and I guess I accidentally overwrote your Design section when I saved. I've just restored it along with the reference. Thanks for the heads-up! ACROM12 [TALK] 04:16, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

Aeon Sentinel (talk) 01:28, 31 December 2025 (UTC)Autopatrolled granted
[edit]
Hi Acrom12, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! voorts (talk/contributions) 04:03, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
