Information icon Hello, I'm Acroterion. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hello @Acroterion. Thank you for your feedback.
I have left a comment in the article's talk page before seeing your comment.
I am new here, so I appologize if I have overstepped any boundaries.
My edit should have been neutral and informative - update the name of the author of the parodical book (which should be given credit, once he chose to), support this attribution by his own website and some academic literature, and explain the reasoning behing his act (again, as explained by him and in the academic papers). Could you please elaborate on what part in it is unneutral? Alongo phd (talk) 14:34, 25 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
"To highlight the absurdity" was stated in Wikipedia's voice, rather than attributed as the artist's opinion in the text. You will need to explain that the so-called "absurdity" is the artist's view rather than making a broad claim without describing its origin, in text. oh, it was that part. Thanks for the clarification.
I'm good with the edit without it, or if it can easily be stated in the article, with it. Alongo phd (talk) 17:54, 25 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
How about:
The artist Ilan Manouach[1][2] and the Belgian publisher La Cinquième Couche produced a book entitled Katz, a remix of Spiegelman's book but with all animal heads replaced with cat heads, saying that "freezing the representation of victims and tormentors like Spiegelman did, means adopting the standpoint of the oppressed, who can only see things in this light because of his own intrinsic role. It may only be a choice of point of view, but which implies accepting the roles imposed by nature. And naturalizing history is dangerous." [3]

@Acroterion, how does this edit sound? Alongo phd (talk) 12:46, 27 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Alongo phd", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because your username has "phd" which sounds promotional & violated WP:ORGNAME. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. I have read the WP:ORGNAME and did not find any violation in my name. Is phd representing a commercial company I am unaware of?
It is an academic title I hold IRL, and worked for. What is the issue with it? Alongo phd (talk) 12:45, 27 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
