ABBR
[edit]You are literally the only person that cares about such a tiny detail. I edit to make articles better and add detail so I think the previous appearances is a useful bit of information and the ABBR works perfectly with the info. You seem to be the only person that has a problem with that. Why does it bother you so much?
Also, let's not forget that you were unnecessarily rude to me on the Women's World Cup talk page. You obviously shouldn't call people bad names on this site but some of you think it is okay to be passive aggressive instead. I was never rude to you prior to your "I love it when" comment. I wasn't going to bring it up but if you are giving me more unnecessary problems on edits then I need to say how I felt before. ILoveSport2006 (talk) 18:10, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- @ILoveSport2006 I literally had to look up what you were talking about because I didn't remember even having the discussion. I apologize for anything I said that you took offense to. It has obviously stuck with you and I really didn't mean to hurt you. I am sorry. For you to say this is an unnecessary problem related to that though, is incorrect. I deleted the markups on the U-17 womens page at first. When I did that, I looked back through the history, multiple editors had added them over time, none of which was you. After you reverted it all, I went to the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football and posted it as this would really be a style across all or none of the association football world cup articles. If you go over there, you can see that no one was for it in this style as it is an accessibility issue for certain readers and devices. If it is added as a column, I wouldn't really have a problem with it. Although, I do think we need to be careful not to make these tables to large as it makes them hard to read on mobile devices, which is how the most users access Wikipedia. Again, I am sorry for the past and I hope we can move on from that and both be a benefit to Wikipedia moving forward. Chris1834 Talk 19:46, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay. Can you elaborate on your column sentence as I am not sure how that would work? I understand we don't want the table to be too big but I think all the information on the table is useful and is organised very well. On your multiple editors have edited it as well, I would've thought that would be a good thing as it shows that people think the abbr is useful as if they didn't, they would've deleted it as well. No matter what, I would've done them had they not been completed. If certain editors can't see it under abbr, what coding can I use that will make it usable? - Also, thanks for the apology. ILoveSport2006 (talk) 10:25, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
