Your draft article, Draft:Dianne Blell
[edit]
Hello, Rachelmward. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Dianne Blell".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! HasteurBot (talk) 18:00, 23 November 2019 (UTC)
Nick Weber (Artist) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Nick Weber (artist). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources, it needs more sources to establish notability, it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Cielquiparle (talk) 13:23, 29 December 2024 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:Darius Yektai.JPG
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Darius Yektai.JPG. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This is an automated notification. Please refer to the page's history for further information. DatBot (talk) 00:33, 24 April 2025 (UTC)

[edit]
Hello Rachelmward. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Rachelmward. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Rachelmward|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Netherzone (talk) 16:02, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Netherzone,
- Thank you for your message. I am not currently receiving any compensation for my Wikipedia contributions, nor have I been compensated for any past edits. My user page previously stated my interest in preserving the legacies of local artists in eastern Long Island. I’ve now updated it to include comprehensive details about my background, motivations, and any potential COI's in accordance with Wikipedia’s conflict of interest and paid editing policies.
- I understand and respect these guidelines and am committed to following them fully. Please let me know if further clarification is needed. I appreciate your attention and am here to contribute responsibly and transparently. If there is anything I can do to improve the referencing or neutrality of my articles, I very much welcome your guidance. Sincerely,
- Rachel Rachelmward (talk) 19:42, 24 April 2025 (UTC)

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Rachelmward, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Rachelmward|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia.
While WP welcomes your contributions to the encyclopedia, there are guidelines and policies that must be followed for editors with conflicts of interest, especially for those with a financial COI. Financial COI's would include things like editing directly for pay, but also if you received grants or fellowships or in-kind compensation in relation to the subjects edited, as well as associated freelance work. Please follow the guidance on how to edit with a COI by placing a notification on your user page, and stopping editing the articles with which you have a COI. Please use the "Edit request" system on the article talk pages. Please make sure to edit while logged in. Please properly disclose your conflict of interest on your user page, click on and read the policies and guidelines and directions for disclosure. You are required to do so. You must also stop adding citations to your own academic writing, or any websites or videos you may have created for the people you write about. Additionally, please read up on how to use the formal edit request system, WP:EDITREQ. Thank you. . Netherzone (talk) 12:56, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Netherzone,
- Thank you again for your message. Since receiving your initial notice, I have not made any direct edits to articles—I’ve only participated on Talk pages and updated my user page. I’ve now revised my user page in response to your request.
- I believe I understand which content may need to be removed in order to address the concerns raised by the tag. Would it be appropriate for me to make those removals myself? I want to ensure that all of my contributions align with your guidance and with Wikipedia’s standards.
- Thank you. Rachelmward (talk) 17:17, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

You still have not adequately responded or taken action to the inquiry regarding your appearance as an undisclosed paid editor. If you make any additional edits without complying, you may be blocked from editing. You have received two notifications regarding WP guidelines and policies regarding directly editing articles with which you have a Conflict of Interest, and/or a financial COI. However, you have made major changes to the article Diane Blell despite this guidance. Please abide by the guidance given and stop directly editing the articles with which you have a COI and use the EDIT REQUEST system for which you have received instructions. The evidence is quite clear that you have a COI. Netherzone (talk) 02:25, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
- Oh wow, I just noticed you created the article for my good friend (IRL) Jeremy Dennis. He is a great person. Have you met him or how do you know his work? Thank you for doing that. It's a contribution we appreciate here - it's a small community Rachelmward (talk) 05:15, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
- I know of Jeremy Dennis's work because I read. No I have never met him. Netherzone (talk) 17:42, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
- I’d actually love to contribute to Jeremy’s page at some point—I know his work well and have been to many of his exhibitions over the years. But I also want to make sure I fully understand what qualifies as a COI. Would my connection to Jeremy (as a friend and supporter) mean I shouldn’t edit his article either? Rachelmward (talk) 05:51, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
- If you have any paid relationship with any subjects of your edits, that triggers the paid editing disclosure requirement of the Terms of Use. It does not require money changing hands to specifically edit Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 12:26, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, your professed connection to Jeremy means you have a COI, precluding your editing the article. You need to declare the COI on your User page and limit yourself to proposing changes on the article Talk page. David notMD (talk) 16:36, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi, friend
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Looks like you're an earnest newcomer running afoul of site norms and rules, which are hard to absorb. Criticism and templating of newcomers tends to snowball, too. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please drop me a line on my user page. If for some reason you have anything you wish to discuss outside of prying eyes, I can also be reached by email at MutantPop@aol.com. Sorry that you've been having trouble. COI disclosures
[edit]As should be obvious by now, COI disclosures (WP:COI) call for you to Wikilink the articles on your User page, not just state that you have (unnamed) COIs. David notMD (talk) 16:38, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

| Thank you very much for your work on Dianne Blell and other contemporary artists. It's really good to see a newcomer dive into a subject that enthuses them. Please hang in there, getting acclimated to Wikipedia's rules and norms takes a while. Your first 100 edits have been first-rate material, grading such things on a curve, and we look forward to your future contributions to The Project. It was nice having a conversation with you. —tim //// Carrite (talk) 22:14, 1 May 2025 (UTC) |
Will Forte Musical Appearances
[edit]Hi there, I recently reverted your addition to Will Forte because the sources provided do not meet WP:RS standards. Apple Music typically reflects artist or label-supplied information, which lacks independent editorial oversight, while YouTube often hosts unofficial or fan-made content and does not meet the project's WP:INDEPENDENT criteria. Additionally, since the appearances in question don't seem to be significant milestones in his career, they likely don't warrant a separate subsection in the Career section. Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]
Hello, Rachelmward. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Darius Yektai, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. BuySomeApples (talk) 01:08, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
