Drafts
[edit]
Hello, DocArchitect26, I'm Bearcat. Please note that pages in draft space, such as Draft:Arnt Obsidian Gronbech are not allowed to be categorized alongside finished articles in mainspace, per WP:DRAFTNOCAT. The page must stay out of any categories so long as it is outside mainspace, and this is not an optional rule that you're free to disregard or ignore.
You can provisionally list categories in your draft without affecting content categories by using one of the methods described here.
As the page has had to be pulled out of categories four times in four days, do not readd it to categories again, because draft and sandbox pages are not allowed to be in content categories. Note as well that there can be consequences for disruption if it doesn't stop, such as page protection or deletion and/or the temporary or permanent suspension of your editing privileges. Bearcat (talk) 14:23, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Bearcat. Thank you so much for your guidance on this. I really appreciate your help, and I hope the updates we've put in place prove to be effective!
- kindest regards,
- DocArchitect26 DocArchitect26 (talk) 15:23, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- This rule still applies. I've had to pull three of your drafts out of categories today, one of them twice. Drafts still cannot be filed in categories, however, and this rule has not changed. Bearcat (talk) 19:38, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, DocArchitect26, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, which will be reviewed by other editors. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

- Hello, thank you kindly for your guidance and to take the time to help me improve as a new Wikipedia contributor. I would like to clarify that I do not have a conflict of interest regarding the musicians whose articles I have worked on.
- I am not connected to them personally or professionally, I do not work for a record label, management company, or PR agency, and I have never been paid to create or edit content about them.
- I have followed this band for more than twenty years as a fan. Over time, I noticed that some of its members had little or no representation on Wikipedia despite having documented careers and a substantial body of work. My motivation was simply to improve the availability of factual information about their contributions to music.
- My professional background is in technical writing and documentation, so researching sources, organizing information, and writing in a neutral tone are skills I use regularly. For that reason, I felt capable of contributing to Wikipedia in a constructive way.
- Regarding Art Obsidian, I attempted to update and expand information in his article in Norwegian that I believed was incomplete or outdated. At the time, I was a new contributor and may not have fully understood every Wikipedia procedure, but I spent considerable time researching reliable sources before making any edits.
- What I do not understand is why the additions were rejected and why I received a warning that led toward a block without a clear explanation of which specific edits violated policy. My intention was not to promote, defend, or advertise anyone. I was simply adding sourced information related to the subject’s career, artistic work, and public record.
- If there are concerns regarding sourcing, notability, neutrality, or another Wikipedia policy, I would appreciate a specific explanation so I can understand what was wrong and improve my contributions accordingly.
- I have retained my research materials and source references and would be happy to provide them for review. My goal has always been to contribute accurate, verifiable, and neutrally written information, not to engage in promotion or reputation management. DocArchitect26 (talk) 13:13, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
Drafts
[edit]For the third time — and trust me, you'll be reported to WP:ANI if there's a fourth — do not file drafts in categories, per WP:DRAFTNOCAT. Bearcat (talk) 12:42, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Bearcat. I am so sorry for the frustration and misunderstanding on my part. I am quite new here, and I am genuinely doing my absolute best to learn the ropes.
- I apologize that I didn't grasp what you meant earlier. I have been trying to be careful, but as a newcomer, it is taking me a lot of time and effort to fully understand the technicalities and of the site, even when you are pointing them out to me. There is definitely a learning curve, and I am trying hard to figure out how to navigate it properly. DocArchitect26 (talk) 12:45, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

- Can you specify what’s the nomination for deletion about? Would appreciate some rationale. DocArchitect26 (talk) 19:26, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Katharsis Keep of Kalessin cover.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Katharsis Keep of Kalessin cover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

[edit]
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to change the title of a page by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Draft:Torbjørn Schei. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 20:28, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
- hello, thanks for getting in touch, I already asked for the deletion of the older draft. DocArchitect26 (talk) 20:40, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
- Which was declined; the history of the draft needs to be maintained. —C.Fred (talk) 20:40, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for explaining, C.Fred. That makes total sense—m, I didn't realize deleting the old page would break the legal edit history trail.
- Since I want to make sure everything is handled properly, could you help me do a history merge for these drafts, or point me to where I should list them? I'd really appreciate the help getting them sorted out. DocArchitect26 (talk) 20:43, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
- Just finished it for Larsen. —C.Fred (talk) 20:44, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, C.Fred! I really appreciate you doing that for Larsen.
- I actually have a few other drafts where I accidentally made the same cut-and-paste mistake while moving them. If you have a moment, could you help me merge the histories for these as well?
- Old draft to merge: Draft:Thebon
- Target draft: Draft:Torbjørn Schei
- Old draft to merge: Draft:Wizziac
- Target draft: Draft:Robin Isaksen
- Old draft to merge: Draft:Obsidian C.
- Target draft: Draft:Arnt Grønbech
- Thank you again for your time and help getting these organized properly! DocArchitect26 (talk) 20:48, 21 June 2026 (UTC)

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Vegar "Vyl" Larsen, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If there is already a draft, do not create a separate article on the same subject. Submit the draft instead. —C.Fred (talk) 20:41, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
- Got it, thanks for moving it back to draft space for me! I see it at Draft:Vegar Ytterdal Larsen now. I will keep working on getting everything merged and properly formatted right there before trying to submit it again. Thanks for the guidance! DocArchitect26 (talk) 20:44, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
