Painting

[edit]

Hey, I noticed you removed my painting from Francesco Solimena, because it was unsourced. It's part of a private collection and I have the certificate of an expert to certify its authenticity, so how could I source it? Nvagda (talk) 07:55, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The way to source the authenticity is by published, reliable sources. Please see Wikipedia:Reliable sources for details. You say it's your painting; does this mean it's a painting you own? That creates a conflict of interest, as placing the image in Wikipedia could enhance its value. And an expert can be wrong; if an expert's opinion hasn't been published it hasn't been evaluated by other experts. Ewulp (talk) 09:25, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did not mean at all that it was a painting I owned but rather that it was one I published on Wikipedia. I have this certificate online and will link. Thank you for your advice Nvagda (talk) 11:18, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
