Spelling on Wikipedia

[edit]

Thanks for your edits to the Trinidad and Tobago article. I noticed that you made a changed the spelling of a word from the English spelling to the American one. Wikipedia accepts the use of different regional varieties of English, and you generally shouldn't change an article from one to another. You can read more about this at WP:ENGVAR. Vagrant Lands

[edit]

Like Angela replied on her talk page, it was not her but me who made that edit. A lot of the pre-Wikia edits on the Fallout Wiki got jumbled up and are now attributed to her instead of me.

As for the answer, the name comes from my old correspondence with Interplay developers. To quote the 2010 e-mail I got from Brian Freyermuth (the lead designer of the game):

"I was heading up a Fallout game for the PS2 when Interplay went under. (...) The game I was working on was called Vagrant Lands. You can still find the design doc on the internet somewhere. Someone leaked it when the company went under."

It's not the original 2006 source (probably also info I got from some Interplay insiders at the time) but a reliable one, at least. Ausir (talk) 16:58, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
