Request reason:
Hello, I would like to appeal my block. I have taken the time to better understand Wikipedia's sourcing, especially by relying on modern, secondary academic sources instead of older, primary ones. While I have not yet gone back to fix my older drafts that used outdated sources, I have written a newer article, User:Kolno/Viking campaign in northern Portugal, which I believe follows Wikipedia's sourcing much more closely. I have also been working on another new draft (not yet published), and I can post it under User:Kolno if it would help show that I've applied the same sourcing there too. Thank you. Kolno (talk) 3:43 pm, 17 October 2025, last Friday (3 days ago) (UTC−7)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline, see Toadspike's comment - this needs to be appealed at AN, not using the unblock template. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 07:00, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Kolno (talk) 22:43, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Kolno. Since the block exists to enforce the result of this community discussion [1], you will have to appeal it at the WP:Administrators' noticeboard (per WP:UNBAN). I advise you to prepare carefully; an unsuccessful ban appeal will likely mean you will have to wait several months before being allowed to appeal again. Though your current appeal seems decent, the ANI discussion which resulted in this ban listed several issues beyond just using primary sources (which are sometimes allowed, see WP:PRIMARY). I recommend you read over that discussion and, in your unban request, briefly address each of your mistakes and how you have learned not to repeat them. I wish you all the best. Toadspike [Talk] 12:49, 18 October 2025 (UTC)

Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia. If you are interested to know how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements already in Wikipedia – and, if possible, correct them. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with sanctions, which could include a block from editing. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 06:12, 22 October 2025 (UTC)

Rui Freire de Andrada moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Rui Freire de Andrada, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Katagiri Sekishū, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ibaraki. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Improvement
[edit]Hi, while your image shows him while being king, it's monochrome with oval shape, and it just doesn't look good to me. A lead image should be an image that represents the subject the best, which should be the best looking portrait and contemporary, if it was his time as king as well then that's just a bonus, this is a 17th century, you can't find portrait of him in every years, it's just a weird choice for me that you choose a monochrome portrait even though contemporary color portrait of him exists even if it showed his during his reign, this portrait shows him when he's an adult, contemporary, and just look better than the monochrome one.
