- @Iggy the Swan: Thanks Iggy, I hope 2026 will be a better year for all of us. Cheers. Govvy (talk) 10:34, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- In terms of association football, may the odds be in our favour. I am now aware that you're busy in real life at this point. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 10:43, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Iggy the Swan: Lets see, 2025, my good friend Anthony died from cancer at the beginning of the year, middle of the year I lost my dad (Parkinson's) and Uncle (cancer), my mum moved from a five bed house to a bungalow, huge amount of possessions accumulated over 40+ years to sort out. 2025 was tough for me. The only good thing was seeing Tottenham win a trophy, but I still felt disappointed watching them play football a lot of the time! So ye, 2025 gone now. Govvy (talk) 10:50, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- On Wikipedia, losing Struway from a six month illness (per the top on User talk:Struway2) was definitely tough given that user guided me to preventable future edits (such as checking my edits before publishing, not to add club logos to barnstars and not making any pointless edits (e.g. deleting rows without apps in footballer articles).
