Thank you :) A new article I was contributing to (started by someone else) has been deleted due to not enough sources (Accordion Society of Australia). Is there a way it can be re-instated and given another shot? The first contributor had only provided sources from the organisation itself, so I added a few historical newspaper articles from trove.nla.gov.au however I'm not sure if those got noticed or taken into consideration when the deletion happened. I'm still new to editing on Wikipedia but would love to give this another shot, as the accordion's presence in Australia is an interest of mine. Cheers. No evidence of WP:NCORP meet yet. The first and second sources are neither WP:INDEPENDENT nor WP:SECONDARY, the third source seems fine, 4 and 5 are also neither independent nor secondary.

The added sources have unfortunately not managed to substantiate notability here; the 'in-depth' Sydney Mirning Herald piece is about the society's founder, not the society itself, and notability is WP:NOTINHERITED

Thank you for the feedback. Would a more recent article about a more recent president of the organisation help with this, given that it mentions the organisation more often than the 1970s article? https://www.smh.com.au/national/victoria/re-introducing-the-accordion-an-instrument-close-to-the-heart-20230829-p5e06m.html Iplayboxes (talk) 00:15, 26 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
No, notability is still WP:NOTINHERITED, and a piece focusing on the founder is of course going to mention the organisation he founded, that still doesn't constitute WP:SIGCOV of the org itself. Athanelar (talk) 00:21, 26 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
