Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, J121233, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the articles you created may not meet Wikipedia's content policies. In short, to be included on Wikipedia, the topic of an article must be notable and have been covered by published reliable and independent sources. Articles must be written in a neutral manner and may not contain AI generated material.

Please read Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article for review. Note that articles are reviewed by volunteers and that it can take some time. If you'd like someone else to create an article, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or the page on contributing to Wikipedia. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

Hello C.Fred,
Will my article be kept on or deleted? I contested it and continued editing it, but nothing has happened for around an hour.
Thanks. J121233 (talk) 09:37, 2 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that nothing has happened means it isn't so obvious a case as to be deleted outright. Further, since you've continued working on the article, I'm waiting to see if there is something about him that clears the significant/important hurdle. —C.Fred (talk) 09:44, 2 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Everyone!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Joshua Carder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.

Limeburners Bay, Hobsonville moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Limeburners Bay, Hobsonville. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and Needs secondary coverage. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Also, please know that you can only publish a draft after it is completed. TheGreatEditor024 (talk) 11:16, 5 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hobsonville

[edit]

I've noticed the drafts you created -- I believe these are unlikely to be accepted as a stand alone page due to the notability criteria Wikipedia has. I'd recommend working on expanding the Hobsonville article with this content, to the point where the Hobsonville article gets large enough to justify a split, for example geography of Hobsonville or history of Hobsonville, much like we have geography of New Zealand and history of Auckland as the main article would be too large to cover it all.

verifiability is also important and sources need to be published and reliable, which websites such as the Hobsonville Church do not meet, although the Heritage New Zealand report on the Hobsonville Church is a good source (albeit one error they still have yet to correct).

There are a lot of good reliable sources on Hobsonville at the Heritage New Zealand archaeological library and I would be happy to help you out with work on this.

You said you have a conflict of interest too, are you a descendant of one of the settlers? I honestly wouldn't consider it a COI after more than 4 generations as you would never have personally known the person and gain little to benefit personally. Considering we have people writing about their employers... Traumnovelle (talk) 21:26, 5 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not related to anyone, I just live in the general area of it. Also, I would kindly accept some help because I've only been properly editing on Wikipedia for like a week. Thank you. J121233 (talk) 00:39, 6 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
That isn't a conflict of interest, unless you're editing in a way to improve your property value. Traumnovelle (talk) 04:07, 6 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hi J121233. Thank you for your work on 5 Pfennigs, Type 2 – Small Shield (1915–1922). Another editor, Mariamnei, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

@Mariamnei:
Would coin catalogs with the coin in it make it more notable? There are reference links on Numista with German books and coin catalogs mentioning/explaining it. I'm trying to find more sources mentioning it. J121233 (talk) 22:03, 9 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for writing to me. If the coin catalogs contained WP:SIGCOV about the coins (not just a passing mention), that should be ok. Have a great day! Mariamneireach out 🕊️ 09:16, 10 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for replying.
I have the names of the books that include these specific coins, but I don't have the actual books to confirm it. I don't know how to fix this problem, as each of those books cost around $100 NZD. J121233 (talk) 09:20, 10 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
