Kudos for facilitating ESEAP! Buszmail (talk) 02:46, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Pangasinan Local Laws and Ordinances Project, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — DaxServer (t · m · c) 12:51, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Kora, thanks for the guidance. I have revised the article and placed references and used my own words in copyrighted news sources. However, for other texts derived from government websites and sources, I decidd to retain them for context. Anyways, these information are public domain. Lady01v (talk) 05:26, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
The Manila Bulletin is a non-free website whose text currently heavily used in the article. If you do not remove it, the article will have to be deleted again, unfortunately. It is also worth noting that Wikipedia uses an encyclopedic tone, and Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a news or government website. Furthermore, these sources may not comply with Wikipedia's WP:MOS Hence, paraphrasing is often required to make these source's presentation right for Wikipedia. Thanks, Kora ^^ (she/her) say hi!/what I've done 05:38, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
but there is no Manila Bulletin from the referecnces. I just used the official ASEAN information sources they provided us as accredited media bureau. Nonetheless, I will have to remove most of them for compliance. Lady01v (talk) 07:57, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like it's been removed now! Thanks for doing so, I think the copyvio detector might've been a little slow. Kora ^^ (she/her) say hi!/what I've done 08:20, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Wait no, check this article [1] Kora ^^ (she/her) say hi!/what I've done 08:23, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yah,they copy pasted verbatim what is on the ASEAN2026 website. I did not and I rephrased my article already. Thank you for your guidance Kora :) Lady01v (talk) 09:07, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Oh sorry I did not see that sorry! My bad, but the Manila Bulletin really should've mentioned that considering their copyright notice at the bottom. I'm very glad that you're not another person just copy-pasting non-free content. Thanks for rephrasing ^^. Happy editing, Kora ^^ (she/her) say hi!/what I've done 09:18, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for picking up the rules of how to create an article so quickly and taking advice so well on board! I'm sure you'll make a great contributor to our encyclopaedia :) Kora ^^ (she/her) say hi!/what I've done 09:22, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Two questions

[edit]

First, do you work for ASEAN in any capacity, and secondly, do you use AI to help edit Wikipedia? Kora ^^ (she/her) say hi!/what I've done 10:17, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kora, no I do not work for ASEAN. I was just covering it as part of the media delegation. And no, I do not use AI in editing Wikipedia. Thanks for the cookie by the way :) Lady01v (talk) 01:23, 28 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
