ITN recognition for Israel–Somaliland relations

[edit]

On 26 December 2025, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Israel–Somaliland relations, which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. Schwede66 19:46, 26 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you revert my edits to this article with the justification "unexplained removal of content" when I did give an explanation? I was trying to correct bias in the article, which I think paints American expansionism in an unfairly dim light and draws from biased historical revisionist perspectives, and although I do not support racism myself, drawing comparisons to "white nationalism" (a movement that did not exist in its modern form at the time) and "Lebensraum" (a Nazi policy) strikes me as original synthesis intended to warp the narrative. Hi. I'm taking no position on including Lebensraum in the see also section, however the characterization of "white nationalism" in the lede is well-sourced and supported by numerous RS. While it did not exist in its modern form, many scholars describe Manifest Destiny as white supremacist or "predicated on Anglo-Saxon chauvinism and imperialism."
