Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for September 9
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ferdinand Porsche, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eastern Front. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:56, 9 September 2025 (UTC)

Cedars-Sinai request
[edit]Hi Surfingslovak, on behalf of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, I wanted to let you know about an edit request of mine to update early history information on the hospital article. Given your somewhat recent history of copy edits to the article, I thought it might interest you. Essentially, I'm looking to remove overly specific or unsourced information and add context where necessary. If you're interested, I'm happy to discuss further on that Talk page. Danilo Two (talk) 15:50, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Danilo Two thank you for reaching out. I have been taking a break from Wikipedia, but I will try to help if it is still appropriate. Surfingslovak (talk) 22:20, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
Translation
[edit]Hi, I found you as an available translator of Wikipedia articles. Could you help me translate this page into English: https://sk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Luk%C3%A1%C4%8D ?
Thanks. DavidCSO (talk) 18:25, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi DavidCSO, let me take a look at it later today. Can you start a stub on English Wikipedia so that I can edit it? The translation tool indicates that you might have a translation in progress. Alternatively, we can wait for 24 hours until the tool will allow me to start a new one. Thanks. Surfingslovak (talk) 22:21, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- I wanted to start with this, but I can't publish it, I'll try logging out and maybe it'll work for you. DavidCSO (talk) 22:41, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hey @DavidCSO, I have a rough translation draft available at Martin Lukáč. I fixed the most obvious errors, but didn't have much time to polish it yet. Unfortunately, I had to wait the full 24 hours for the translation tool lock to expire. The logout did not seem to work. Please take a look when you get a chance. Surfingslovak (talk) 08:11, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Surfingslovak, thank you very much, it looks good. I added references, the introductory sentence to the exhibitions and corrected the high school in the education section. DavidCSO (talk) 11:46, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
- Sounds good! Happy to help. I've added a redirect, Martin Lukac, so the page appears when someone types the name without diacritics. This is a common practice on the English Wikipedia and a minor oversight. I will try to improve the page this week. It will likely be subject to some scrutiny. Surfingslovak (talk) 22:23, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
- It looks great, good job, thank you! DavidCSO (talk) 16:11, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you! I'm finished revising it. There are a couple of others who have helped, including FromCzech, who has extensive experience in this space. Merry Christmas. Surfingslovak (talk) 00:58, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
- Merry Christmas to you too and thanks again for taking the time to do this. Thanks also to everyone else who contributed. It looks perfect. In the meantime, I've also made a Czech version, which I'll edit according to the English version when I have the time. Have a nice day! DavidCSO (talk) 18:16, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
- The Czech version looks great! Seeing it made me think that a German version could be helpful too. I can work on that if you like, but I need a little longer than for the English variant. Take care and "guten Rutsch", as they say in German. Surfingslovak (talk) 04:13, 29 December 2025 (UTC)
- German version would be great, I was also thinking about that, so go ahead if you want.:) I've been waiting for some edits now, because I'm waiting for approval of photos I uploaded. The author herself confirmed the free license of the works like two days ago via the link in the notification and then by email, but the deletion report is still displayed there, for example - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Martin_lukac_harlem_studio_2.jpg - I suggest putting this photo in the infobox, because the original screenshot from the YouTube video was removed. :(
- Thank you and I also wish you a happy new year! DavidCSO (talk) 11:55, 29 December 2025 (UTC)
