Note on reverting edits

[edit]

Hello TheMDC4 and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding the Hieu page you created, please note that it cannot be maintained as a disambiguation page. Instead, it should be structured as an article on a given name, a surname, or both. In this instance, as you correctly pointed out, it is an article on a given name, specifically the Vietnamese origin name "Hiếu" or "Hieu". However, please exercise caution when reverting edits, as multiple contributions are often consolidated into a single edit. Reverting such edits indiscriminately can undo constructive changes and result in unnecessary loss of work and time. Best regards. QEnigma (talk) 07:42, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@QEnigma: i tried keeping your add'l edits when reverting, my apologies if i missed some. i figured reverting then re-adding content would've been simpler than re-alphabetizing the list. i'm usually a bit more keen. soz, TheMDC4 chat :3 08:04, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Adding sources

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Assadzadeh. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Assadzadeh (talk) 22:03, 28 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

CSD A10

[edit]

Just a reminder, CSD A10 only applies when an article does not expand upon, detail or improve information within any existing article(s) on the subject. If the new article has sources that the old article doesn't, that's usually enough of a sign that A10 doesn't qualify. Most A10s are of very short articles with very silly titles, in my experience.

Finding two non-stub articles on the same topic is rare, and best handled case-by-case. Since this was a new user, I userfied back to their userspace and told them how to merge the articles manually. Other solutions can include tagging with {{duplication}}, starting a discussion on talk, or doing the merge yourself. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 10:41, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:00, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
