Video game reviews

Reposting this list here since you did ask me a couple of months ago. :) I went with my list of new articles created using the magazine Next Generation (a handful are restored deleted articles). I'll do this in tiers, starting with the most needy, and you can stop whenever you want to or skip anything you like. When it comes to articles that are truly struggling for sources, here are the ones that most need your help and may be the most challenging, sorted from my list by the issue the review appeared in:

Mario Teaches Typing

Hey there. I recalled back in January you requested help with Mario Teaches Typing. I rewrote the reception section, reorganized some content, and expanded the content throughout the article. If you are looking to go for GA, here are some things you'll want to address beforehand.

  • Expand the Gameplay section some; not a lot, but maybe a few more sentences since it's so short.
  • If a publication has a score in the Review table but no content in the prose, you should either remove the score altogether or add a summary of the review to the prose.
  • Get someone to review/copy edit the whole article.

CGW reviews

I took a quick look at the first two issues from the early 1980s, and these all have only reviews cited from CGW (although I know other reviews do exist, they just have not been added yet). If you can find anything more for any of them then great! I can look for more if you want to continue beyond these. :)

Either template is OK for now. It depends on whom you ask. Personally I try to only use the {{single source}} template if the entire content of the existing article can be verified by that single source. (Because we often have articles where an editor has only read 1 source and is basing their entire article on that source, which is not enough.) Tabletop magazine reviews

At this time, I have completely gone through several tabletop game magazines to add reviews to every game I saw, including a smaller percentage of video games. :) Namely this includes Ares, Games International (which did transition into a video game magazine later), Imagine, Space Gamer, White Dwarf, and White Wolf, which we can go through one at a time. :) I did start several articles for each of these, and there are others that others created that can use some help, so if you want to help me find sources for them I would appreciate that. :)

Dragon magazine reviews

OK, continuing on with a new thread from the last two threads, this will be all I've got left. :) It overlaps a bit with the last two and I will try not to repeat, but I will inevitably miss some. Dragon reviewed hundreds of video games in a regular video game review column between issues #110-223 with sporadic reviews before and after that. I started many of these articles about 15 years ago, and as before will be focusing on games with lesser developed Reception sections.
