Who I am
[edit]Is irrelvant, and not a subject for discussion on article talk pages. Slatersteven (talk) 18:56, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- I'm not asking for your personal details, I'm trying to get a handle on how this works. Ullscarf (talk) 19:05, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- I am allowed to ask for a close, if the discussion is going around in circles. Also you need to read wp:bludgeon. Slatersteven (talk) 19:10, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- Well I don't know about bludgeoning but I can certainly see that trying to get sense out of you and your colleagues is a waste of energy. I mean being asked for evidence that Robinson is not far-right just takes the biscuit. I could hardly be less impressed with my experience today, putting it mildly. Ullscarf (talk) 19:19, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- No we said RS need to say it for us to say it. They need to challenge the idea he is far-right. We go by what RS say and only what RS say. Slatersteven (talk) 19:22, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- A journalist using sensational language is not a reliable source but as you said, we're now going round in circles. If you're something to do with Wikipedia, you might want to suggest a reassessment of what counts as a reliable source.
- Years ago, there was some nonsense on the Wikipedia acid jazz (music genre) page and I drew attention to it in the talk section. I was an acid jazz dj in London at the height of the scene and worked for Acid Jazz Records, so I called b/s but was informed that it was from an article in the Indian Times, which counted as a reliable source. I'm sure you get my drift. Ullscarf (talk) 20:04, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- I am just an editor. Slatersteven (talk) 20:14, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
