Zagreb update

[edit]

Pozdrav, Hello,

I don’t know on which language do you speak but I assume Croatian, but I will still contiue on English.

First, thanks for updates on Zagreb wiki page. I’ve seen you did a lot of important updates and I salute you. With you, Zagreb Wiki page passed 200,000 bytes! :)

However, your last edit was unnecessary. There’s no reason to delete hard work of a lot of Wikipedia editors just so you can put a picutre of a Zagreb’s mayor which has nothing to do with the page. You removed hostorical sites and picutres (Kamenita vrata, Bloody bridge relocated(?), upper town view), and the rest of it. If you’re going to undo my edit, which I think you might, just put the bike lanes info, avoid changing too much becuase it was like this for years.

Thanks and no hard feelings, I am not Wikipedia administrator to tell you what to do, but as a editor I fell like my work and work of others are being removed for no particular reason. Croateditor (talk) 18:39, 24 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for this message and I appreciate your appreciation!
I removed the pictures of Kamenita vrata and Radić Street because there is no correlation between them and the section they were under, which was the Politics and government section. I relocated the Bloody Bridge picture to the "Relationship between Kaptol and Gradec throughout history" part in the History section, where it gives useful context. I have no issue with you adding back those pictures, I just think they should be put somewhere else. But, keep in mind that the article is already flagged with having too many images for its size.
As for the picture of the Mayor of Zagreb, I am not strictly against removing it. I added it as some articles of major U.S. cities have such pictures, but it's generally not used in the articles of European cities. I feel like having the picture gives a little extra context since that section is talking about mayor's powers.
Thank you for reaching out to me and feel free to reply. User4926 (talk) 21:01, 24 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much!
Photos don’t necessarily have to be in the corresponding article and paragraph. Zagreb has a vast history, and image representation of historical monuments is much more important than a picture of the mayor.
Thanks once again.
Svako dobro! Croateditor (talk) 17:45, 25 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. The images absolutely do have to correspond to the text they're next to. Otherwise, what's the point if they don't compliment the text in any meaningful way? That is like putting the portrait of the mayor in the economy section... :/ User4926 (talk) 20:58, 5 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Stop removing photos from Zagreb

[edit]

At this point it’s just ignorat behavior of yours and I don’t understand your constant removing of images of Zagreb’s historical importance and monuments. As I can see, you’ve already been notified by previous editor about your behavior (image removal) and I don’t seem to understand why YOU CAN put certain images, and the rest of the editors can’t, and it has been like this since 2022 and noone seemed to be bothered until it’s “too old for you” and “articles needs update”.

We have been in talks before, while I listened to you and let you change the Administration, with no prior discussion you still removed the photos.

If you can put images of Zagreb’s city hall and the rest of the policital information, I can put those. Stop deleting those photos and stop constant edit wars with people. PublicityVote (talk) 14:33, 9 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello.
Just to clear things up, I in no way want any edit warring in Zagreb. It is in everyone's interest, including mine, that the article is stable, factually correct and of good quality. My edits go towards achieving this goal, and when they don't go through, I use the talk page to discuss the edits. The same was with the three images on Zagreb's article. We had a discussion, I presented my arguments and articulated why your arguments don't stand. You did not prove how the images have any context with the topic, instead going with "it's been like this 2022", which is a flawed argument because it doesn't mean anything. Just because it has been there for some time, doesn't mean it is not worthy of deletion. I tried to find common ground and asked you to relocate the images to the culture section. I left that message on 26 October. Now it's 11 November. You never replied or came back to that discussion.
As for the other editor, we never had any discussion outside of my own talk page, so that was never resolved. I also saw how you somehow connected me to the We Can! political party, which is not only incorrect because I'm not a member of any party and I edit figures from all political backgrounds, but I also find it very misleading and disrespectful.
For any more information about my edits, please reply in our Zagreb talk page discussion instead of here please. I look forward to having productive and constructive conversations with you.
Best regards, User4926 (talk) 18:45, 10 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Ivan Turudić (November 16)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by ChrysGalley was:
This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.
The comment the reviewer left was:
The subject is clearly notable, as Attorney General, and there are plenty of sources. Typically this would generate a fairly short article sticking to key facts and dates as befits an encyclopedia. This article goes into a whole range of issues, backed by sources, but essentially gives a negative portrayal of the subject. That is not to say the parliamentary reaction isn't significant, that does need to be recorded, but it's more the long list of other details. Whatever connection with Ms. Rimac is only of interest if there is a notable outcome from that, at the moment it looks like adverse gossip. The other factor is that a number of points rely on his entry in Croatian Biografija - this accepts paid entries from their subjects so isn't a reliable source. Whether the subject supports a particular football team is unlikely material for an encyclopedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Warning

[edit]

The page for Diesel Exaut Fluid has issues as Wikipedia has opted at the page’s header. They include notes about original research. Why then do you revert edits where I tried to remove references to the brand Adblue? It’s an obvious commercial advertisement. ~2025-35913-41 (talk) 21:14, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I will answer all your requests on the diesel exhaust fluid talk page as that is common practice, rather than here. And please don't title your discussions with "Warning".
Thanks User4926 (talk) 17:03, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi it was a warning, and should be titled as such. No I won’t change that.
and why are you engaging in a war and claiming something as a bold when it’s a common sense edit? Please stop edit Waring. ~2025-32763-70 (talk) 01:02, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I just reversed a bad edit. If you have an opinion about it, you're free to engage in the discussion. Best regards User4926 (talk) 14:49, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
