Your submission at Articles for creation: P.D. Shah (October 24)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Tatupiplu was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

The article Shamsuddin Faridi Desai has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough in-depth coverage to show they pass WP:GNG.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Dear Onel5969,
Please help me restore this important article. Shamsuddin Faridi is a giant among Rudra Veena performers. His status is certified by the fact that he recorded for the prestigious label, India Archive Music. That label only records the top rated Indian classical musicians. https://indiaarchivemusic.com/collections/all Vtranz (talk) 21:19, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please familiarize yourself with the general notability guideline. You need to provide citations to independent prose coverage of significant depth in secondary sources in order to demonstrate a subject's notability. Having been recorded by a particular label is not a substitute for this requirement. signed, Rosguill talk 14:23, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, note that complaints like this one that include personal attacks are unlikely to get the response you are looking for. The appropriate way to ask for revisions of a deleted article is to make a request at WP:RFUD. signed, Rosguill talk 14:32, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Dear Rosguill,
I have a Masters degree in Music, from California State University Long Beach. I have been trained to document music related topics. I am the creator of www.rudraveena.org, a non-commercial, information portal. If you look at that site, I document all Rudra Veena players, without favor. My only interest, is to provide important information on wikipedia. wikipedia does include articles on other Rudra Veena players. I don't understand how Shamsiddin is not allowed. In the 20th century, the three main Rudra Veena players, were Shamsuddin Faridi Desai, Asad Ali Khan, and Zia Mohiuddin Dagar. Accusing me of having a conflict of interest, is just unjustified. Accusing me of personal attacks is also wrong.
Again, I request that someone undeletes the article on Shamsuddin Faridi Desai. Thank you. 71.212.120.75 (talk) 15:38, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Rosguill,
Just so you know, I just went on to ChatGPT and asked 'Who is Shamsuddin Faridi Desai?'
ChatGPT knew all about this important figure in Indian classical music. If the reason
that my article was deleted, was due to 'notability', then you should take a look at ChatGPT.
https://chatgpt.com
Then, please restore the article on Shamsuddin Faridi Desai'. Thank you. Vtranz (talk) 23:25, 12 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I request a second opinion on this. I don't believe on editor should be able to deprive the world of important, valid information. Please reply, so I know you have read this request. Vtranz (talk) 14:38, 29 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Rosguill,
One of the Rudra Veena players that you do allow articles for, is Bahauddin Dagar. I have contacted Bahauddin and asked him if Shamsuddin Faridi Desai should have a wikipedia article. He replied that there should be an article. He said, if the editors do not believe that Shamsuddin meets the notability requirements, they should listen to his Makar CD. With the support of Bahauddin Dagar, I am going to restore the article. Vtranz (talk) 14:55, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that the people discussing deleting the article Shamsuddin Faridi Desai, should include an expert on the Rudra Veena, Bahauddin Dagar. Bahauddin told me, that if the people who are intending to delete the article have any doubt of Notability, they should listen to Shamsuddin's Makar CD. Please contact Bahauddin. There is a contact form on his website, https://mohibahauddin.com/ Vtranz (talk) 20:44, 15 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
