Galleries
[edit]Hi,
Thanks for your contributions. We really appreciate your attempts to change Wikipedia for the better and in making it more appealing visually. However, could you please refrain from spontaneous editing of infoboxes and galleries on Poland's city pages? Most of them do not require any changes, especially the large cities. The collages for Kraków and Warsaw are already well-constructed. Merangs (talk) 23:32, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- @WScnin: - I really do not appreciate you cluttering articles with images. Some edits to galleries (for example with Kraków) are not an improvement, especially that previous images were customised to correspond to one another. I suggest you halt the POV editing of infoboxes per your liking. Merangs (talk) 00:22, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- In the current arrangement of photos, the middle rows do not align in the same way as in other cities. Additionally, the first photo should be the most representative because it is the one visible in the thumbnail (see London, Berlin, Turin, Prague). I will not make any further changes. - @WScnin: - The alignment of the images can vary between articles and there is no guideline for it, but it is better if the photos are stylistically similar and uniform in one infobox. Ideal pictures are the ones taken on the same day or around the same time. This is exemplified at Berlin article, where the photos are from the evening/early night period. Regarding thumbnail, other photographs are shown first on Google searches so really it is a minor issue. Nonetheless, I would like to thank you for your other contributions and for updating some images in other related pages. I am worried that the number of images in Warsaw is overwhelming, especially in the 'religion' section. Merangs (talk) 14:49, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
