[edit]
Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Yogendra Puranik. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Kingsacrificer (talk) 12:37, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- Which part of the commentary was personal analysis? Can you please explain with examples. Yogi3677 (talk) 23:27, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Yogendra Puranik, you may be blocked from editing. Kingsacrificer (talk) 12:39, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- What is your basis and source to judge that the information is poorly sourced? So many books and newspapers have written about Yogendra Puranik. Yogi3677 (talk) 23:26, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Are you Yogendra or are you related to him in any way? Kingsacrificer (talk) 18:23, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- I've removed the poorly sourced content which was present in previous revisions. Even now, there is some information in the article which is not sourced or cited to a reliable reference. For example, the entire Life In Japan section and information about his educational background. Kingsacrificer (talk) 18:25, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- My question is, what is your basis and source to judge that the information is poorly sourced? So many books and newspapers have written about Yogendra Puranik. Yogi3677 (talk) 23:12, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Please read WP:PROOF.
- If books and newspapers have written about him, that information needs to be referenced and cited in the article. Once reliable sources are used to back any claims or information in the article, its usage becomes acceptable. Kingsacrificer (talk) 06:22, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- My question is, what is your basis and source to judge that the information is poorly sourced? So many books and newspapers have written about Yogendra Puranik. Yogi3677 (talk) 23:12, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
Editing with a conflict of interest
[edit]
Hello, Yogi3677. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the Edit Request Wizard), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.-- Ponyobons mots 23:37, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Rather than deleting what others have written, please do some constructive research to add useful content, that will serve the purpose for a bigger community of wiki readers. Your activity to 'delete' is not at all serving any purpose as you wont be able to prove that the information that you deleted was wrong or subjective. Yogi3677 (talk) 23:17, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Did you check WP:COI? Kingsacrificer (talk) 06:22, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
